Location & Directions to Hammoud Hospital

 Hammoud Hospital is located in the Iskandarani district in the heart of the city of Saida.

Getting to Hammoud Hospital:

  • From the North: Take the East Boulevard (Dr. Nazih El-Bizri Boulevard), driving South. Keep straight, passing through four roundabouts. When reaching the fifth roundabout (Al-Kouds Place), make a right (going West). Drive for another 200 m and the hospital is located on your right.

  • From Beirut International Airport: Take the main costal highway south towards Saida (35 km). When you reach Saida, follow the detailed directions above (From the North).

  • From the South: Take the main costal highway North towards Saida. Take the South Boulevard exit and drive through until reaching the Martyr Square (at the end of the South Boulevard). Continue north towards Al-Kouds Place. There, make a right (going west). Drive for another 200 m and the hospital is located on your right.

  • From the East: Take Jezzine Street driving east until reaching  Eliyya roundabout in Saida, then make a left driving south. Pass one roundabout to reach the second one (Al-Kouds Place). There, make a right (going West). Drive for another 200 m and the hospital is located on your right.

  Parking

 Parking is freely available at the hospital for visitors during visiting hours. Unfortunately, as with any large city hospital, parking spaces can be limited during peak hours. Therefore, we urge you to use several parking places located across from the hospital and around Al-Kouds Place.




  Visiting Hours

 Spending time with family and friends is essential towards a better recovery, and all visitors are welcome. However, for the comfort and well-being of our patients, we urge our visitors to abide by the following regulations:

  • Visiting hours are available daily, from 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 8 pm in most patient care areas.

  • Intensive Care Units (ICU, CCU, CSU and ICN) have different visiting hours; from 10 am to 11 am and 3 pm to 4 pm daily.

  • Visitors must be at least 12 years old.

  • There are special considerations for siblings of pediatric patients and children of obstetric patients.

  • You are required to leave the room while a patient is receiving a treatment.

  • After 8 pm, visitors are not allowed on patient floors unless they have obtained an overnight permit.

  • At the discretion of the staff, an overnight permit could be obtained  by only one adult member of the patient's family or other designated person. The overnight permit pass, which is dated and valid for one night only, can be obtained from the unit's head nurse and should be worn by the visitor throughout the night.

  Meals

 You are invited to share meals with your loved one/family member if you wish. To order a guest tray, inform the secretary at the nurse's station before 11:00 AM for lunch and before 3:00 PM for dinner or for breakfast the next day. An extra charge will be added to your final bill. Access to the cafeteria is through the 6th floor. It is open daily from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

  Communicable Diseases

 If you or a close family member have been exposed to Chicken Pox, TB, Mumps or Measles or any other infectious disease within the past three weeks, please speak with the patient's nurse before visiting. In some cases, your exposure may not allow you to visit. Some cases require that patients be isolated from others. Please observe the instructions posted at the doors of patients’ rooms before visiting, and follow the nurses’ instructions. These extra precautions could be imposed for the well being of patients and visitors alike. Should you have any questions; please see the nurse for further assistance.

 Visit the Information Desks for more information on Hammoud Hospital UMC, and the city of Saida. The main Information Desk is located near the central elevators on the first floor (Ext 1931/1932). The Private Clinics Information Desk is located on the first floor in the Private Clinics Building (Ext 1125).




  Gift Shop

 The hospital’s Gift Shop is located in the hospital main lobby. It sells gift items, balloons, reading materials, toiletries and stationary among others. The gift shop does NOT sell or deliver flowers. To have your local paper delivered to your room, please call the hospital gift shop at (Ext 1846) to arrange for delivery. (There is an extra subscription fee). For your convenience, most local and foreign newspapers and magazines are available at the gift shop.
