The brave Ali Abbas Ghareeb, a 10-years old boy who fell victim to the bombardment of Tyre, was
admitted to HHUMC with multiple wounds and skull fractures. His case caught the attention of Mrs. Nazek Rafic Hariri who
used her personal friendship with the French government in order to secure a place for Ali in one of the best Hospitals
in France for further and specialized treatment. As we wish Ali a speedy recovery, we present you with his story as

Hammoud Hospital newsletter represents an additional effort by the hospital to continue to expand its vision of serving its community and promoting scientific and medical collaboration. The newsletter will provide news regarding staff members, conferences, events, and community activities.

Hammoud Hospital management threw an end of year open house celebration in the conference room on December 21st, 2002. Around 200 employees, nurses and physicians attended the gathering. Dr. G. Hammoud wished everyone a happy new year full of achievements and success in the work field at the hospital as well as in everyone’s personal life.
He thanked and congratulated all of the hospital staff for their substantial efforts during the past year. “Those sincere efforts have put our Hospital the first in the South and among the top three in Lebanon according to the latest Lebanese Ministry of Public Health accreditation survey performed by the Australian OPCV company”, he added.
Hammoud Hospital achieved a 97% score in the Basic Standards and 88% in the Accreditation Standards.
Hammmoud Hospital Medical Center organizes weekly Grand Rounds as
part of the
continuous medical education. Physicians, residents, interns and
nurses attend the weekly lectures starting at 2:00 p.m. and held in the
Conference Room located on the eighth floor.
