To be admitted to Hammoud Hospital, you need the “Admission Form” from your physician, your ID card, and all the necessary documents that your insurance or covering third party requires. A list of requirements for each third party payer is available for all patients at the admission office. The following tips will help make your admission smoother and your stay more comfortable. If you have more questions and/or concerns regarding admission, please contact the Admission Office at (Ext 1948) during regular business hours (7:00 am - 5:00 pm). After 5:00 pm, please contact the admission officer in the emergency room at (Ext 1935). What To Bring
Valuables and Cash
You are advised to leave your valuables (jewelry, etc.) and any amount of cash over 40,000 L.L. with a relative or a friend to take home. If you must keep valuables with you, please contact the head of the department to arrange for safekeeping. In the evening and at night, your nurse can help you deposit your valuables in a safe box. These services may be provided for 24 hours only. Thereafter, you must have arranged for relatives or a next of kin to deposit the valuables for you for the entire period you are at the hospital. Please be advised that the hospital is not responsible for personal items or valuables kept in your room. Cellular Phones
Cellular phones may not be used in some areas of the hospital, please ask the hospital staff before operating a cell phone. Radio waves generated by cell phones interfere with medical equipments and electronic devices specially monitors. This might put the health of patients at a severe risk. |

Mail and Flowers
Mail and flower deliveries are accepted and should be addressed to you (the patient) with your first and last name (for example, Mary Smith rather than Mrs. John Smith), Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center, and room number, if available. Please ask family members and friends to mark your mail clearly as "Patient Mail." Also note that flowers are not allowed on some intensive care units. Safety Tips for Patients
